1/10th Scale onroad - 540 Electric

The 540 Electric is our most affordable class on the track. Cars must be in stock form (no aftermarket parts) and the motor has to be the stock Mabuchi 540 or Johnson 540. This is where all cars are equal in terms of performance and driving skill will decide the winner!

1/10th Scale onroad - Stock Electric Touring Cars

The Stock Electric Touring Car class is the mid-level performance in the electric onroad category. Although cars are not allowed aftermarket parts, the motors used are rebuildable 27 turn electric motors. There are a wide variety of stock motors available on the market which racers can choose from which can be tuned to suit track conditions.

1/10th Scale onroad - Modified Electric Touring Cars

The Modified Electric Touring Car is the highest performance electric class. Cars are allowed to accept aftermarket high performance parts. There are no limits on the electric motors specifications and allows the use of ultra powerful rare earth magnets to produce immense power. These cars are almost as fast as the high end nitro onroad cars.

1/10th Scale onroad - Nitro Touring - Side and Rear Exhaust

The specs below are the new Interclub specs for Nitro Touring which used to be a side exhaust class only. By adopting the Interclub specs we will be standardising this class across 5 clubs in this region:

* Gold Coast Model Raceway
* Bayside
* Brendale
* Logan
* Sunshine Coast

Approved GasTourer rules for 2007 Interclub events:

  • The use of .12 (2.11cc) or .15 (2.50cc) 3 port engines only will be permitted, with a maximum rating of 1(HP) Horsepower. The driver must supply manufacturer's paper work to prove HP rating to the satisfaction of the Race Director in the event of a dispute.
  • They shall be air-cooled, with front rotary valve, two-stroke induction with ¼-32 glow plugs
  • No form of forced induction is allowed or any form of variable port timing
  • No internal modifications of any kind that deviate from factory original condition including the carburettor are permitted
  • Carburettor maximum size 5.5mm
  • The following motors will also be allowed
    * TOP CT12S2/N
    * TOP CT12R1/N
    * TOP CT12 R2/N
    * TOP CT12 S1/N
    * TOP CT12S1/NX
  • Any .12 or .15 "pullstart" engine that comes with a RTR kit as long as it is run in the RTR that it comes out with
  • Larger heat sinks can be used as long as the combustion chamber is the same dimensions as the original
  • No boost bottles allowed
  • Any form of starting the engine is allowed.

1/8th Scale onroad - LeMans style nitro

This is the fastest, most powerful class in onroad nitro R/C. Highly modified .21 (3.5cc) European engines capable of producing 3.5HP+ and propelling these cars from zero to a blistering 120km/hr within 2 seconds! At the moment, we only race cars with low profile, high downforce Le Mans type bodies. Other 1/8 onroad cars such as the Kyosho Landmax series are too slow to be competitive within this class.

1/5th Motorcycle

We run the following categories for 1/5 Motorcycle:

Modified Class - Novak SS5800BL System with NiMH batteries and 12-10T brushed motor.

RTR Class - Stock Johnson gray can motor, and/or mixed with a 27-19T motor.

Nitro Class - 0.12 to 0.18 engine limit
